It’s hard to pick a “favourite” on this trip – it really was all so beautiful. Some stand-out moments were the Rio Azul and Rio Manso with the amazingly blue/clear waters and the perfect little rapids along the way. The cabin with the home-cooked asado on the Rio Manso after that awesome day on the water was pretty amazing too! Julian and Pablo really took the time to show us how to “bbq” like Argentinians with the coals and the wine, and the wine…it was so awesome 🙂 The level of attention to detail would be hard to match — every last thing was taken care of for us, down to the warm tea and cookies right after stepping off the river! It really felt like a vacation the whole time we were there.

OMG I’ve never been on such big water as the Futa. That was indeed a very cool wave train in Asleep at the Wheel. I want to get back on that stuff and more, I can’t wait!

The guides were awesome. Very kind, competent, thoughtful, friendly, fun, and happy to make things more challenging if we wanted. Rock splatting for fun on the Azul was a good example of that. And Fidel did a good job of drilling me/us on ruddering for peelouts and s-turns; I have stuff to work on and think about, now!

I just wanted to say that of all the instruction and training I have received in both mountain and water environments that was certainly one of the best run courses I have been a part of. This was in large part due to Julian who is a very gifted and experienced instructor.

We joined Paddle Patagonia hoping for a great paddling adventure and came back with a trip of a lifetime! The Pisco Sour at the bottom of the Futaleufu was a classy touch from a classy outfitter!
