This is a fun day trip that combines a short hike upstream and a fun whitewater paddle down the crystal clear waters of the Azul River in El Bolsón.
On this trip you will start at a designated spot on the Azul River where you will meet your guide(s) and be given all the necessary equipment (wetsuit, lifejacket, boat and paddle). From here you will hike upstream along the river (40min-1hr) until reaching a place known as “El Paraiso” - aka. paradise! This is a spectacular spot of calm turquoise water, making it the perfect place for getting comfortable paddling and maneuvering your packraft. After some basic instruction you’ll begin your descent of the Azul River.
A packraft is a lightweight inflatable boat that can be carried in your backpack. The packrafts are individual and each person is required to paddle while following the guide. You do not need whitewater experience but you should be comfortable in the water and enjoy an adventure! The minimum age for this trip is 14 years old.
